Solid Biblical Truth Never Changes or Grows Old
“Already the judgments of God are abroad in the land, as seen in storms, in floods, in tempests, in earthquakes, in peril by land and by sea. The great I AM is speaking to those who make void His law. When God’s wrath is poured out upon the earth, who will then be able to stand? Now is the time for God’s people to show themselves true to principle. When the religion of Christ is most held in contempt, when His law is most despised, then should our zeal be the warmest and our courage and firmness the most unflinching. To stand in defense of truth and righteousness when the majority forsake us, to fight the battles of the Lord when champions are few—this will be our test. At this time we must gather warmth from the coldness of others, courage from their cowardice, and loyalty from their treason. The nation will be on the side of the great rebel leader.”
{5T 136.2}
“Those who make light of the third angel’s message do so because they know little of Daniel or the Revelation. They have not read these prophecies with a determination to find out the meaning by prayer, by study, and by fasting. If they had had the experience of Daniel or of John, they would know that the third angel’s message will go forth unto perfect victory. Those who proclaim that message because they see and believe it, will understand that very much is comprehended by it. The third angel is represented as flying through the heavens with a banner on which is inscribed, “The commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” All who will gather warmth from the coldness of others, courage from their defections, and loyalty from their treason, will triumph with the third angel’s message.”
{RH June 8, 1897, par. 17}
A wonderful connection is here seen between the universe of heaven and this world. The things revealed to Daniel were afterward complemented by the revelation made to John on the isle of Patmos. These two books should be carefully perused. [Daniel 12:8-10, 13.] The book of Daniel is unsealed in the revelation to John, and carries us forward to the last scenes of this earth’s history.{Lt59-1896.6, 7}
THE LAST WARNING MESSAGE TO BE PROCLAIMED
REVELATION 18:4
COME OUT OF HER!
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, COME OUT OF HER, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Rev 18:4

Timely Words From Ellen White
“In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists have been set in the world as watchmen and light bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world.On them is shining wonderful light from the word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import–the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels‘ messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention.” {9T 19.1}
“At this time—the last days of this earth’s history, we are to make the book of Revelation a special study. Why?—Because it depicts the scenes that we are to meet. We need to understand what we are to meet and how we are to meet it. We must know what efforts we are to make so that, in this perilous time, we shall not be taken by the enemy’s devices. We know that the last great conflict will be Satan’s most determined effort to accomplish his purposes. He will come, not only as a roaring lion, but as a seducer, clothing sin with beautiful garments of light, that he may take human beings in his snare.” {Ms46-1904.1}
“In the Revelation are portrayed the deep things of God. The very name given to its inspired pages, “the Revelation,” contradicts the statement that this is a sealed book. A revelation is something revealed. The Lord Himself revealed to His servant the mysteries contained in this book, and He designs that they shall be open to the study of all. Its truths are addressed to those living in the last days of this earth’s history, as well as to those living in the days of John. Some of the scenes depicted in this prophecy are in the past, some are now taking place; some bring to view the close of the great conflict between the powers of darkness and the Prince of heaven, and some reveal the triumphs and joys of the redeemed in the earth made new.” {AA 584.1}

“The truths of the eighteenth and nineteenth chapters of Revelation should be read and understood by all.” {RH July 12, 1906}
“How comes the word that I have declared that New York is to be swept away by a tidal wave? This I have never said. I have said, as I looked at the great buildings going up there, story after story, ‘What terrible scenes will take place when the Lord shall arise to shake terribly the earth (911)! Then the words of Revelation 18:1-3 will be fulfilled.’ The whole of the eighteenth chapter of Revelation is a warning of what is coming on the earth.” {RH July 5, 1906, par. 14}
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” [Revelation 18:1-4.] This is the message Satan would have silenced.” {14LtMs, Lt 232, 1899, par. 23}
“Those who take hold of the work at this time are not to repeat the mistakes that have been made in the past, when men have sought to control and rule their fellow workers. God forbids that this spirit shall come into his work. Another message than this is to be borne. Those who have felt a burden to place yokes on the necks of their brethren who desired to labor, are called upon to repent and be converted. “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.” The message of the third angel is to go forth with a loud voice. Wake up the watchmen; leave them not to settle back in their death-like slumber.” {RH July 23, 1908, par. 10}
“Only those who are living up to the light they have will receive greater light. Unless we are daily advancing in the exemplification of the active Christian virtues, we shall not recognize the manifestations of the Holy Spirit in the latter rain (3rd and 4th angel’s messages). It may be falling on hearts all around us, but we shall not discern or receive it.”— TM 507 (1897). LDE 195.4

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THE STUDY OF THE REVELATION
In the Revelation there was unfolded scene after scene of interest in the experience of the people of God, and the history of the church was foretold to the very close of time. In figures and symbols subjects of vast importance were presented to John which he was to record that the people of God living in his age and in future ages might have an intelligent understanding of the perils and conflicts before them. This revelation was given for the guidance and comfort of the church throughout the Christian dispensation, AA583
In the Revelation are portrayed the deep things of God. The very name given to its inspired pages, the Revelation, contradicts the statement that this is a sealed book. A revelation is something revealed, AA584.
The instruction to be communicated to John was so important that Christ came from heaven to give it to His servant, telling him to send it to the churches, 7BC953.
If God’s people realized the nearness of the events portrayed in the Revelation, a reformation would be wrought in all churches, TM118.
Interesting Quotes from the Pen of Ellen White on the Book of Revelation
The proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages has been located by the word of Inspiration. Not a peg or pin is to be removed. No human authority has any more right to change the location of these messages than to substitute the New Testament for the Old. (Selected Messages, Book 2, p, 104).
The books of Daniel and the Revelation are one. One is a prophecy, the other a revelation; one a book sealed, the other a book opened. [Unpublished Manuscripts, Volume 6 p. 16 para. 1]
REVELATION 7 & 8: But there are mercies mixed with judgment. Revelation 7 and 8:3, 4. The Lord has a people whom He will preserve. John beheld the “four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree” till the seal of the living God shall be placed upon those who love God and keep His commandments. [Revelation 7:2, 3.] The elements of nature are to be placed in the power of angels of God. He holdeth the winds in His fists (Proverbs 30:4). He gathereth the waters in the hollow of His hand (Isaiah 40:12). He maketh the clouds His chariot (Psalm 104:3). “The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King forever” [Psalm 29:10]. {Ms59-1895.28}
REVELATION 6, 7 & 16: My imagination anticipated what it must be in that period when the Lord’s mighty voice shall give commission to His angels, “Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.” [Revelation 16:1.] {Ms59-1895.25} Thy right hand, O God, shall dash in pieces Thine enemies. Revelation 6 and 7 are full of meaning. Terrible are the judgments of God revealed. The seven angels stood before God to receive their commission. To them were given seven trumpets. The Lord was going forth to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth was to disclose her blood and no more cover her slain. Give the description in chapter 6. {Ms59-1895.26} When the plagues of God shall come upon the earth, hail will fall upon the wicked, about the weight of a talent. The hail had struck Brother Belden. One stone struck him on the back of the head, raising a large lump. Another stone struck him very near the temple. The bruise still shows upon the hands of Sister Belden. But what must it be when the hail shall be so much increased in size, falling upon those who would not care for and obey God but insulted Him and despised all His mercies? {Ms59-1895.27}
REVELATION 6: The same spirit is seen today that is represented in Revelation 6:6-8. History is to be repeated. That which has been will be again. This spirit works to confuse and to perplex. Dissension will be seen in every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, and those who have not had a spirit to follow the light that God has given through His living oracles, through His appointed agencies, will become confused. Their judgment will reveal weakness. Disorder and strife and confusion will be seen in the church. {Lt65-1898.30}
REVELATION 11 & 18: Let all who would understand the meaning of these things read the eleventh chapter of Revelation. Read every verse, and learn the things that are yet to take place in the cities. Read also the scenes portrayed in the eighteenth chapter of the same book. “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” It will not be to the credit of any who believe the word of the prophecies of this book to ignore the special indications of God, and show indifference in regard to this wonderful display of the power of God because of the sins of this city recently destroyed. The Lord forbid that those who have witnessed this great destruction shall make light of the matter and flatter themselves that in the future they will have buildings far in advance of any buildings they have yet had. For if those who have felt the rebuke of God shall set themselves defiantly to invest their means as they have done, God will exercise His power to counteract their efforts. This calamity calls for men who have abused their privileges and taken advantage of their fellow men, to make amends for the wrong they have done. The Lord has spoken. Will men hear His voice? [21MR 91]
REVELATION 12: This will swell to a roar. We have yet to learn the significance of those words of John: “Then the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. [RH 08-28-83 para. 27]
FUTURE APPLICATION OF REVELATION 13: “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints” [Rev. 13:10]. This entire chapter is a revelation of what will surely take place. [Rev. 13:11, 15-17, quoted.] [19MR182.06]
REVELATION 12, 13, 14, 17 ALL FUTURE APPLICATIONS: God has warned His people of the perils before them. John beholds the things which will be in the last days, and he sees a people working counter to God. Read Revelation 12:17; 14:10-13, and chapters 17 and 13. John sees the company who have been deceived. He says, “I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame” [Rev. 16: 13-15]. [1896MS]
REVELATION CHAPTER 18:
The third angel’s message is to be given with power. The power of the proclamation of the first and second messages is to be intensified in the third. In the Revelation John says of the heavenly messenger who unites with the third angel: “I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice.” Revelation 18:1, 2. We are in danger of giving the third angel’s message in so indefinite a manner that it does not impress the people. So many other interests are brought in that the very message which should be proclaimed with power becomes tame and voiceless. At our camp meetings a mistake has been made. The Sabbath question has been touched upon, but has not been presented as the great test for this time. While the churches profess to believe in Christ, they are violating the law which Christ Himself proclaimed from Sinai. The Lord bids us: “Show My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” Isaiah 58:1. The trumpet is to give a certain sound. {6T 60.1}

Are the millennial children spoken of in Zech. 8:4-5 born during the millennium? If so, is there marriage during the millennium?
Greetings Luke,
Great question. Once we receive immortality (at Jesus’ 2nd Coming in clouds) we will be changed and will no longer be linked to a spouse but will be individually & eternally connected to Christ our Saviour. The millennium follows the 2nd Coming.
“The Sadducees reasoned that if the body is to be composed of the same particles of matter in its immortal as in its mortal state, then when raised from the dead it must have flesh and blood, and must resume in the eternal world the life interrupted on earth. In that case they concluded that earthly relationships would be resumed, husband and wife would be reunited, marriages consummated, and all things go on the same as before death, the frailties and passions of this life being perpetuated in the life beyond. {DA 605.3}
In answer to their questions, Jesus lifted the veil from the future life. “In the resurrection,” He said, “they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” He showed that the Sadducees were wrong in their belief. Their premises were false. “Ye do err,” He added, “not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.” He did not charge them, as He had charged the Pharisees, with hypocrisy, but with error of belief.” {DA 605.4}
“And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:” (Luke 20:34, 35)
Here is an interesting comment from Sister White on Zechariah 8:
“The work of which the prophet Zechariah writes is a type of the spiritual restoration to be wrought for Israel before the end of time. “Thus saith the Lord,” the prophet declares, “Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets. … I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days. … For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. {25LtMs, Lt 42, 1912, par. 5}
You can also reference Prophets and Kings, page 704 regarding Zech., verses 3, 7, 8, 12 and 13.
Thank you for your answer in connection to us who have faith, but I’m still left wondering about where the children come from referred to in Zech. 8:4-5.
Isaiah 65:20 says, “There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.”
Isaiah 65:23 references births and their offspring – “They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.”
The context of both of these passages is plainly the millennium as evidenced by v.25, “The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.”
Zechariah 8:4-5 refers to the old men and women dwelling in the streets of Jerusalem and also that the streets of Jerusalem shall be filled with boys and girls playing; “Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.”
Who is “their offspring” referred to in Is. 65:23 in the above quote?
Are these offspring children born during the millennium?
Doesn’t the phrase “nor bring forth for trouble” refer to childbirth if you look up the original Hebrew word “yalad?”
Doesn’t this show that there is childbirth happening in the Millennium?
If there is no marriage or giving in marriage in the millennium as you seem to say, are we to conclude that these boys and girls filling the streets of Jerusalem only happens at the beginning of the Millennium and not near the end of the millennium since the children would then be hundreds of years old?
“What saith the Scripture?” Romans 4:3, Galatians 4:30
I’m praying that you will have a scriptural answer for me.
Affectionately,
Luke
Again, the Bible states: “And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world (those alive in Christ when He returns), and the resurrection from the dead (those that died in Christ and are raised), neither marry, nor are given in marriage:” (Luke 20:34, 35). Matthew and Mark also make the same statement as Luke. So, this means that there cannot be children born during the millennium of those resurrected from the dead or the ones that are translated to heaven at the 2nd Coming since the millennium begins AFTER the 2nd Coming.
So, with this clear understanding, we have to search those verses in Isaiah and Zechariah with a different approach in what it must “truly” be saying since the Bible never contradicts itself. Maybe the “offspring” is referring to our children we had here on earth prior to 2nd Coming as you’re referenced? That would make the most logical sense. Again, would have to study this out further.
Would you mind if going forward that we correspond via email since this could be quite lengthy going back and forth here in the comments? Kindly, Melinda
