Disease (Sin) – A Sorrowful Entanglement

“It is a sin to be sick; for all sickness is the result of transgression.”

“Many have inquired of me, “What course shall I take to best preserve my health?” My answer is, Cease to transgress the laws of your being; cease to gratify a depraved appetite; eat simple food; dress healthfully, which will require modest simplicity; work healthfully; and you will not be sick.”

“Disease is an effort of nature to free the system from conditions that result from a violation of the laws of health.”

Sin is the CAUSE. Disease is the EFFECT.

PART II- DISEASE AND DRUGS. NATURE AND CAUSE OF DISEASE, AND SO-CALLED “ACTION” OF DRUGS. by Merrit Kellogg (Harvey Kellogg’s brother)

“Disease is abnormal vital action; hence, to fully understand the nature of disease, it is necessary to understand the actions of the various organs when in health. We may divide the vital organs into two classes, one of which digests the food and circulates it to all parts of the system, where it can be used for the purpose of nourishing and building up the body, while the other class gathers up the waste matters, broken-down tissues, and whatever else there may be in the system that is not usable, and casts the same out of the body. It can be seen at a glance that these two classes of organs must not only exist, and perform their work, but that there must be an exact balance in the work performed by them in order to insure health and prolong life. That is, the organs which supply nourishment to the tissues must supply just the requisite amount; otherwise, the body would decrease in size and strength. The organs that eliminate the impurities from the system must also be faithful in their work, and cast out all the broken-down tissues and other waste matters just as fast as they accumulate; should they fail to do this, there would be a clogging up of the entire system with these matters (see “Air” article and why Mask wearing is life-destroying!). When these two classes of actions are just balanced, the individual is in health. If, however, there is an unbalanced condition of these actions, for any cause, the individual is diseased….

Some of the curses dealing with disease mentioned in the Bible that were found among the Egyptians are found in the following passages:   
Deut. 28:21, 22, 27, 35, 61; Lev 26:16

The diseases of the Egyptians = diseases we have today:

1. Pestilence = infections, deadly disease like AIDS, Covid (Deut 28: 21)

2. Consumption = tuberculosis OR a wasting of flesh (Deut 28: 22)

3. Fever (Deut 28: 22)

4. Inflammation = Edema; anything ending in “itis” like bursitis, arthritis, etc. (Deut 28: 22)

5. Extreme Burning = bones; heartburn; etc. (Deut 28: 22)

6. Blasting = to prevent from growing, ie dwarfism (Deut 28: 22)

7. Botch = a swelling on the skin; growth; ulcers; tumors (Deut 28: 27)

8. Emerods = Hemorrhoids (Deut 28: 27)

9. Scab = psoriasis, eczema, shingles, etc. (Deut 28: 27)

10. Itch = Scabies; athlete’s foot; dandruff; seborrhea; etc. (Deut 28: 27)

11. Madness = Schizophrenia (Deut 28: 28)

12. Blindness = loss of sight (Deut 28: 28)

13. Astonishment of Heart = heart problems (Deut 28: 28)

14. Smitten in the Knees = knee problems (Deut 28: 35)

15. Smitten in the legs = leg problems; gait problems (Deut 28: 35)

16. A Sore Botch = painful swellings, painful ulcers, painful tumors (Deut 28: 35)

17. A Trembling Heart = heart failure; heart attack; cardiac arrest (Deut 28: 65)

18. Failing Eyes = vision problems like glaucoma or cataracts (Deut 28: 65)

19. Sorrow of Mind = any type of depression or worry (Deut 28: 65)

20. Terror = fear; phobia; anxiety (Lev 26:16)

21. Burning Ague = chills; shivering (cold/flu); shock; etc. (Lev 26:16)

22. Disease & Sickness not listed – examples are Mad Cow Disease and Swine Flu (Deut 28:61)

“But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee.”
(Deuteronomy 28:15)

“If, after so much light has been given, God’s people will cherish wrong habits, indulging self and refusing to reform, they will suffer the sure consequences of transgression. If they are determined to gratify perverted appetite at any cost, God will not miraculously save them from the consequences of their indulgence. They “shall lie down in sorrow.” [Isa 50:11]

“Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass [yourselves] about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks [that] ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.”

“God would have his people clearly understand that they will be visited according to their obedience or transgression. Wickedness and disease have increased with every successive generation. The land has labored under the curse which man has brought upon it because of continued disobedience. “The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate.” [Isa 24:4, 5] Many marvel that the human race have so degenerated, physically, mentally, and morally. They do not understand that it is the violation of God’s constitution and laws, and the violation of the laws of health, that has produced this sad degeneracy. The transgression of God’s commandments has caused his prospering hand to be removed.”
